“Women’s contribution crucial as we strive for sustainability” says Minister for Environment

To commemorate International Women’s Day, the Minister for Environment and Energy, Prof Rolph Payet has thanked women working for his Ministry. Minister Payet says that the, protection and conservation of Seychelles’s unique environment is full of challenges, but the contribution of women is crucial and important, as Seychelles strives for sustainability. Minister Payet was speaking when meeting with the around 75 female staff of his Ministry and presenting them with flowers.
“ Women in my ministry from decision, management down to junior level, are highly valued. Their skills, knowledge and experiences enriches our work, their contributions ensures our achievements, laws, policies and projects are implemented and our work though challenging is successful.” Said Minister Payet.
Prof. Payet also called on more young women to think of a career in environment and energy related fields, and enroll for relevant studies.
